PSL Scale

PSL Scale is an online photo analysis tool at pslscale.me that explains visible facial proportions through measurements and plain-language summaries. Users can select a clear, front-facing photo to receive a photo suitability check, a broad PSL reference range, and an explanation of the visible relationships used in the result. The basic workflow is available without sign-up.

The tool reviews four areas: visible left-to-right balance, vertical facial proportions, horizontal spacing, and the relationship between face length and width. Its visual guides and sample report help users understand what each measurement describes, what the selected photo supports, and which features cannot be judged reliably from a single view.

PSL Scale also provides educational resources about its methodology, photo preparation, face symmetry, facial ratios, and why readings change between photos. These resources explain how camera angle, distance, lighting, expression, and a covered hairline can influence visible measurements. Users who compare their own photos are encouraged to keep shooting conditions similar so that camera effects are easier to distinguish from other changes.

The website treats PSL as an informal community convention with no official formula. Its broad 0-8 reference range is presented alongside the underlying measurements rather than as a medical assessment, a population percentile, or a conclusion about a person's worth. A two-dimensional photograph also has limits and cannot reliably describe every aspect of facial structure or real-life appearance.

PSL Scale is intended for people seeking a clearer explanation of photo-based proportion readings and their limitations. The upload workflow supports single-person JPG, PNG, and WebP images under 10 MB. The website includes a sample report and a photo checklist to help users understand the process before starting.
